In May, buyers added 6,779 new listings to the market, 28% more than last May and 11% more than last month. May marks the Denver Metro area’s fifth consecutive month of increases in new listings, bringing more choice for home buyers
Buyers were relatively active in May, executing 4,221 contracts on homes. The pace of new homes coming on the market outpaced buyer activity. As a result, there were more than 9,000 active listings on the market at the end of the month.
Affordability continues to impact the Denver Metro housing market. The median closed price of a home was $600,000 in May, up 2% from last year. As a result, May closings were flat compared to last year.
